“I get to do what??”

I didn’t say it out loud but I totally thought it. I knew before I arrived in Nashville for my graphic design internship that I was going to be working on the Valentine’s fashionABLE campaign. What I didn’t know, is that I would get to run with the project from concept to creation. And I didn’t know that I would develop an idea that would require a photo shoot. And I didn’t know that the photo shoot would be done by Jeremy Cowart. Don’t tell anybody, but I geeked out a little bit on the inside. I’ve been a huge fan of his work for a few years now. But it’s not just his talent or the caliber of celebrity he’s worked with that gets my attention. It’s what he’s done with his God-given platform that I admire (check out Help-Portrait if you are unfamiliar). I want to be like that. It’s why I’m in Nashville. I secretly hoped as I stood in his studio that whatever he’s got would be contagious so maybe I could catch it. I think I’m coming down with something. :)
